Total course length: 2.5 years *

English requirement: IELTS total score 7.0, no band less than 7.0

Course Structure:


Students will learn about long-term chronic care, Aboriginal health, biological sciences, emergency medical care, and mental health in the course, which includes on-campus clinical learning, internships in hospitals and other healthcare facilities. La Trobe University has close relationships with more than 100 industry partners. This program is recognized by ANMAC, and graduates are eligible to apply to become Registered Nurses!


This quick nursing course will be conducted on the Bundoora campus and will be taught as follows:


The first semester

Commencing Date: 21 June 2021

End date: 10 September 2021

Exam period: 13-23 September 2021


Second Semester

Commencing date: 11 October 2021

End date: 14 January 2022

Exam period: 17-27 January 2022

  • This quick nursing course is not a packaged course
  • Students who have completed the first year of the Express Course will not be able to refund or change courses
  • Students must attend face-to-face courses and return to school on June 21, 2021
  • Students cannot apply for credit transfer
  • Students enrolled in Express Nursing will not be able to transfer to another course (1st year)
  • Students cannot defer this express course
  • The course is limited and students will be selected on a first come, first served basis



La Trobe International Scholarship (LTIS)

  • LTIS is worth up to 30% deduction on annual tuition fees for the duration of the course
  • Assessment is based on academic merit
  • Applicants must be commencing an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree (Bachelor of Nursing is included)
  • No separate application is required. Students will automatically be assessed when applying for an eligible course.


Regional Victoria Experience Bursary

  • This scholarship is for high-achieving prospective international students
  • For students who are undertake an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree in one of La Trobe Regional campuses
  • This bursary is valued up to AUD 3 000 will be applied as a deduction to your tuition fees
  • The Regional Victoria Experience bursary is an additional one-off payment added to the percentage deduction awarded from the La Trobe International Scholarship (LTIS) offer applicants up to 30% in deductions from total tuition fees
  • Available for international students commencing in Semester 2, Summer and Term 6, 2021 intakes
